This is every event we can find on the Northshore, all in one place: Covington, Mandeville, Slidell, Abita Springs, Madisonville, Lacombe, Pearl River and Folsom.
Right now that’s 460 upcoming events across 10 towns, and we’re always finding more.
How we check things
Every event here came from somewhere. When we have a link back to the organiser, we mark it Checked and show you when we last looked. On the list that is a filled dot.
When we don’t have one, we say Unconfirmed, and the dot is hollow. That isn’t us doubting the event, it just means we can’t confirm the details for you.
Right now 297 of the 460 listings are checked. Either way, a quick call to the venue never hurts.
What we leave out
We leave out the weekly regulars: happy hours, trivia nights and brunch specials, the things that run every week. We keep them out of the main feed so the one-off events have room to show up, and they have a page of their own, with 19 on it.
We also leave out anything we can’t stand behind yet. If the details don’t quite add up, we hold it back until they do.
A few things we don’t do
There are no accounts and no sign-in. You just have a look around.
We don’t sell tickets and we don’t take a cut. Every event links straight out to whoever is running it.
We run no display ads. The two paid things, a promoted event and a Thursday sponsor, are labelled every time they appear, and neither changes what we say about a listing.
